Porini Rhino Camp is located in Ol Pejeta Conservancy
a 90,000 acre wildlife conservancy situated
between the foot hills of the Aberdares and the
magnificent snowcapped Mount Kenya.
Ol Pejeta Conservancy boasts an astounding variety
of animals including all the “Big Five”
(the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant,
buffalo and lion) as well a sanctuary for rescued
chimpanzees and also incorporates the smaller
Sweetwaters Game Reserve.
The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning
views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees
an unforgettable safari experience. Ol
Pejeta Conservancy has a large area of over 60,000
acres reserved exclusively for 4x4 safari vehicles
and small exclusive eco-camps.
Porini Rhino Camp is hidden in a secluded valley
and set amongst shady acacia trees on the banks
of a seasonal river. The camp consists of seven
spacious guest tents, each comfortably furnished
with en suite bathrooms. The camp is very environmentally-friendly
with solar powered lighting and no generator.
Game drives are taken in the camp’s 4x4
safari vehicles with qualified safari guides.
Guided walks are taken on the open plains escorted
by Maasai warriors. Night drives are also taken
to see the nocturnal animals. All the Big Five
have been seen on game drives from the camp.

Itinerary:
Duration: 2 nights/3 days
Day 1
Fly to Nanyuki from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, arriving approx. 12.40pm. Met at the airstrip by your Porini driver and transfer to Porini Rhino Camp in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Enjoy lunch and afternoon tea in camp and then take an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at camp.
Day 2
A full day in Ol Pejeta Conservancy with game drives and an escorted walk from camp. After dinner take a night game drive in search of the area’s nocturnal animals. Overnight at camp.
Day 3
Transfer from camp to Nanyuki airstrip for the flight back to Nairobi (or on to the Mara).

Child rates applicable to children aged 8 to 16 years:
- 1 child or 2 children sharing with 2 adults - each child pays child package price above and 2 adults each pay the per adult sharing rate.
- 1 child sharing with 1 adult - child pays child package price above and adult pays the single adult rate.
- 2 or 3 children sharing in own tent - each child pays 75% of the per adult rate.
- Camp not recommended for children aged under 8 years.
Exclusive Vehicle: sole use of the open sided 4x4 safari vehicle during game drive US$ 375 per vehicle per day.
Christmas & New Year supplement: on 24, 25, 26, 31 Dec & 1 Jan is US$ 40 per person per night.
Late Afternoon Departure: late departure after 10h00 is US$ 150 per person - minimum 2 people (includes lunch, soft drinks and activities before departure in the late afternoon).

In the event of heavy rainfall causing flooding of roads preventing access to the Porini Camps or to the parks, we may be obligedto amend the safari arrangements to offer a suitable alternative safari.
